Learning: Disbranching Return to Introduction
Here we see the plant a few a few weeks later. Each pair of leaves will will have 2 well-developed laterals as shown. Remembering dahlia foliage is alternating we can balance the plant by removing one of the laterals (photo 2) and then alternate the position on the next pair of leaves. This will balance the plant and give each lateral a chance to produce a pleasing flower. In addition this process will keep the plant under control. |
