Photo 1: Many times a cutting plant grows much bigger before we have an opportunity to plant it. This presents a slightly different set of conditions. In photo #1 we see this plant is quite large for planting and we need to trim off the lower leaves.
Photo 2: Out of the pot we see the well developed root system. To help the root system adept to the new setting it will help to break up the soil ball gently to allow the roots to spread out.
Photo 3: Here we see the root ball broken up and the plant ready to be placed in the soil.
Photo 4 & 5: Show the plant in the ground with the lower leaves removed and tied to the stake to give it support. Again the plant will need some shade till it gets acclimated to the new home. This should take about 4-5 days. Also plant on a cloudy day or late in the afternoon. Water well on a daily bases for a few days.
